The projects I created in this class were all about understanding education on a deeper level and enhancing my writing skills by practicing different mediums to get information across. The collaboration aspect of this class was highly important in helping me understand my writing more and analyze what my strengths and weaknesses in that area are. With collaboration being a part of nearly every assignment and meeting I started to get into the habit of considering my audience before I start writing more than I had previously. It also has gotten me to be more thorough before submitting any draft of my work. For many seminar sessions I was in breakout rooms with my classmate Haley Schmidt so I would say she was the most helpful when it comes to who I collaborated with during the course. She gave me helpful reviews on my Humans of Education Products and collaborating with her and Donovan Vasquez on the Panel of Experts work helped me understand the text better.
The work done in the studio sessions was very eye-opening about how to make writing and other online publications more accessible. I personally have not had many experiences with not finding certain things online accessible enough for me so I was not sure about if I was understanding how to make things fully accessible. However when looking at what my peers had done with their work to make it accessible it made it more clear to me and helped drive home the lessons being taught through the modules. In general I think that the emphasis on collaboration and peer review in this course makes the lessons much more impactful and heightened my understanding of my own writing skills while also helping me think more critically about what I was including in my assignments
